I can’t help with beds but I use nutraquin+ for my dog which my vet recommended. Some people I know use turmeric as well – I think there are some other questions on this elsewhere on the forum x

There is another thread about beds below actually if you scroll down through the questions. Might be some helpful info on there

The issue of beds is a big one. I’d always look for one marketed as an orthopaedic bed and something like memory foam is a good choice. Make sure it’s not positioned anywhere drafty and if it’s on a laminate floor then placing a bone slip rug or runner under and around the bed can be a huge help.

Supplements are another big topic. We will be posting an article about them on our website very soon actually. Most evidence lies with omega 3 so I’d look for one containing this but study’s done in laboratories have shown other elements such as glucosamine and condroitin should also be of benefit… it’s just not proven yet in live animals! It may be a case of trial and error for these.

I would certainly think about things like acupuncture as an option too

Petnap.co.uk stock some flexi heat pads that can be used under bedding. They are also reasonably priced. These can be plugged into mains to ensure constant heat source but I would always be cautious about leaving dogs unaccompanied for long periods of time with them!

Bed wise – bit of a minefield I find as there are so many options on the market. I’ve just bought a memory foam bed for my dog from Doggie Solutions – they’ve got a sale on at the moment too which is a big thumbs up!

Hope those suggestions are of help! Have you tried complementary therapies such as physio, hydro, massage etc?
