I’m looking for someone to point me in the right direction with regards to research papers on Arthramid, particularly when administered to canines. I’ve found a few articles online but the majority are in relation to equines and goats.
I’d like to have my 7 year old Rottweiler treated with Arthramid (moderate to severe OA in elbow) but I’d like to know a bit more about it first, such as whether steroid intra-articular are usually given at the same time?
thanks in advance!
i know exactly your position as I was there myself a few months ago. My 8 year old black lab also has moderately severe elbow OA. I had heard a few miracle stories about Arthramid and was keen to give it a try as surgery isn’t really an option. I even started a blog which I must update as there was so little information available online https://bev088.wixsite.com/arthramidindogs
Sadly for us it hasn’t been the miracle I was hoping for. We are now 8 week down the line and I would say there is no change. I don’t regret trying it at all as it’s not done any harm and there have been great results seen elsewhere. Graham at East Midlands referrals is doing a trial on it in dogs and was very helpful when my own vet contacted him for information. I hope this helps.
